Community based guesthouse

A number of guest rooms are located in the Deaf Centre: our guest house/Bed & Breakfast. These are spacious rooms with one or two beds. The rooms are attractively furnished in a simple manner. Each room has a sink and a spacious closet. In front of your room, you can relax on the veranda. There is a communal shower area near your room, of course with proper privacy.

In the past, the accommodation of the Bed & Breakfast was mainly used by people from the Netherlands involved with the Umoja foundation (the Dutch organisation that initiatied the Deaf Centre) and by people involved with the 'deaf world'.

Nowadays, our Bed & Breakfast welcomes everyone looking for a place to stay in South-East Kenya. So even if you are on (work) holiday in this region, you can stay overnight at the Deaf Centre. The rooms are attractively priced. With your stay, you contribute  to the income of the deaf youth in Kwale and the work of the Deaf Centre. The rooms are maintained by the youth of the Deaf Centre. On request, they can also provide lunch and dinner to the guests.
