Sport facilities
The Deaf Centre site is equipped with a number of modern sports facilities such as a basketball court and a grass field pitch that can be used for for example handball and football matches. The sports grounds are regulal venues of of various local and regional competitions.
The Deaf Centre has its own basketball and volleyball teams. Deaf men and women participate in tournaments at regional and national levels.
Our sports fields are available for rent. Guests of our Bed & Breakfast can use the sports facilities free of charge.
Often sports activities are organized at the Deaf Centre for Deaf and hearing people. For example, during school holidays we organize 'out of school' activities for school children from the surrounding area, and sometimes the facilities are used as venue for cultural events such as dance, music, and team building activities for companies, schools, and government agencies.
